![]() ![]() The only reason one might want to disable them is if a player has a bad Matroska implementation that chokes on those elements.MKVToolnix is een collectie van opensourceprogramma's waarmee Matroskabestanden kunnen worden bekeken, bewerkt en geconverteerd. If it cannot use that information it should simply ignore those elements. If a player can use this information then it will do so automatically. In general you should leave both options enabled. That’s where `cue_relative_position` comes into play it tells the player exactly where inside the cluster a subtitle entry is found allowing for faster retrieval. The next step is for the player to retrieve that subtitle entry as well. The `cue_duration` is the additional information that said entry has a duration of 10s allowing the player to pick this subtitle entry for display right after seeking. The cues already contain the information »there’s a subtitle entry starting at 3m56s«. If the player wants to display this subtitle entry as well it needs at least the `cue_duration` information present as well. However, there’s also a subtitle entry starting at 3m56s with a duration of 10s. The user tells the player to seek to 4m0s. These pieces of information can be used by players to make looking for overlapping elements easier. So they’re definitely not the same as `–no-cues`. The two `–engage no_cue_…` options only affect certain pieces of information inside the cues. The resulting file will not have an index seeking in said file will be slower than it could be. `–no-cues` causes no cues to be written at all. ![]() Post navigation ← MKVToolNix v7.2.0 released MKVToolNix v7.4.0 released → This entry was posted in Matroska and tagged Matroska, MKVToolNix on Octoby mosu.
